About the role Thiess is seeking Diesel Fitters for our NSW sites, including Muswellbrook Coal Mine Rehabilitation Project, Mt Arthur South, Mt Pleasant, and Mt Thorley Workshop. Various rosters are available based on site location. In this role, you will: Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment, including CAT trucks, dozers, graders, and other ancillary equipment, following Thiess systems and documentation. Complete general maintenance, breakdown repairs, services, and component changeouts to high standards. Source technical information from manuals, bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems. Maintain good housekeeping standards at all times. Conduct inspections to maximize equipment utilization. About you To succeed, you should have: Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter. Post-trade experience in Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industries. Ability to obtain a Certificate of Proficiency issued by Training NSW. Experience in maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment. Preference for experience with Liebherr and CAT equipment.
