Were currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Gardener to join our team full-time at The Village Swansea, one of our beautiful coastal retirement communities located near Lake Macquarie.This is an opportunity to take pride in your work and make a meaningful impact on the daily lives of our residents by keeping our outdoor spaces safe, clean, and beautifully presented.About the RoleWorking 38 hours per week, your schedule will be:Mondays: 5:30am to 1:36pm focused on rubbish bin placement and waste managementTuesdays to Fridays: 8:00am to 4:06pm standard gardening and groundskeeping dutiesAs our Gardener, youll play a key role in ensuring our village grounds are safe, clean, and beautifully presented. Your responsibilities will include:Performing a variety of gardening tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, watering and plantingUndertaking regular maintenance of gardens, lawns, paths, and communal outdoor areasManaging rubbish bin placement and waste disposal on MondaysMaintaining and safely operating gardening equipment and toolsResponding to ad hoc maintenance or gardening requests in line with resident needs and village standardsAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will bring:At least 1 year of gardening, groundskeeping, or landscape maintenance experienceSound knowledge of horticultural practices and plant careThe ability to work independently and take initiative to maintain high presentation standardsA customer-friendly approach and strong interpersonal skillsPhysical capability to undertake manual tasks (up to 15kg lifting)Experience in residential communities, retirement villages, schools or commercial grounds will be highly regarded.What We OfferAt Levande, we believe our people are the heart of our communities, and were proud to offer a supportive, rewarding work environment.
