In this role, youll help the unit achieve production targets by following established systems and processes. You will operate machinery and equipment on the shop floor and demonstrate your skills by reading and interpreting technical diagrams and instructions for assembling Traction Converters. Dont miss this opportunity to grow with ABB!The work model for the role is: Onsite.This role contributes to the Traction division in Maryborough, Queensland. Main stakeholders are the Traction teams in Australia and Switzerland.You will be mainly accountable for:Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing when integrated with production lines.Performing work manually or using light hand tools.Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.Qualifications for the roleCertificate II in Electrotechnology (preferred but not essential).Ability to interpret technical drawings.Ability to follow instructions and work to plans, plus the capacity to learn and retain knowledge.Ability to work in a factory environment that might involve heat, repetitive tasks, long periods of standing, and bending over while handling parts, tools, and equipment.A Can Do attitude and willingness to be flexible to get the job done.More about usThis unique opportunity on the Fraser Coast, Queensland will help build the local economy while positioning ABB for more opportunities within the Australian Traction industry.
