Maas Repairs is seeking a qualified and safety-minded Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Road Transport) to support the maintenance and reliability of our fleet. Based in Dubbo, this full-time role involves working across a wide range of equipmenttrucks, floats, light vehicles, and heavy earthmoving plant. You will carry out preventative maintenance, field servicing, fault finding, and repairs to ensure our projects run smoothly and safely. Responsibilities Promote continuous improvement for safe work practices. Work within workshop rules and regulations at all times. Liaise with managers and supervisors daily. Diagnose and repair faults thoroughly. Service and maintain equipment of plant and truck fleet. Work to tight schedules while maintaining high standards. Implement and maintain lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency. Assist with planning and maintaining service schedules. Coordinate with suppliers to source quality parts at the best prices. Maintain company tools and equipment. Take ownership of major repairs, working efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Essential Requirements Current drivers license. Fully qualified with at least 2 years experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic. Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension. Basic auto electrical knowledge. Proficiency with computers and digital diagnostics. Outstanding work ethic and commitment to completing tasks. Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety. Approachable with excellent people management skills. Professional, confident, and adaptable with a willingness to improve workshop processes. Team-oriented, action-focused, and results-driven, with the ability to prioritize repairs and breakdowns. Problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with peers for optimal outcomes.
