Take pride in having a meaningful impact on regional, rural and remote communities while being a pivotal player in the energy industrys future.About the roleWe are currently recruiting a Zone Substation Electrical Technician to join our Transmission Riverina team based in Wagga Wagga.The Zone Substation Electrical Technician is responsible for the construction and maintenance of Zone Substations, inspecting, testing, and reporting on the nature and condition of network assets, as well as the installation, commissioning, and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipment.Key responsibilitiesConstruction and maintenance of Zone SubstationsInstallation, commissioning, and testing of associated Zone Substation and distribution equipmentCarrying out switching operations associated with both high and low voltage engineering servicesInspecting, testing, and reporting on the nature and condition of network assets to maintain quality standardsAccessing and using computerised systems to operate remote equipmentOperating plant and equipment associated with Zone Substations in a safe mannerAbout YouAs a Zone Substation Electrical Technician, you will demonstrate practical application of relevant qualifications. You will be capable of coordinating and managing construction and maintenance of Zone Substations, as well as the installation, commissioning, and testing of Zone Substation equipment.
