We are committed to providing efficient and safe rubbish collection services to Melbournes Southeast and across other parts of Victoria and southern New South Wales.Our services include skip bin hire, servicing residential customers, businesses and major state projects, and hard waste collections where we work with local councils all over Victoria to provide both Area Wide and At Call hard waste services. We also do bulk mattress collections for businesses and councils across Victoria and parts of New South Wales.About the RoleAre you a skilled and reliable Heavy Rigid Truck Driver with a passion for delivering essential services to our community? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Heavy Rigid Truck Drivers responsible for picking up hard rubbish for various councils. As a crucial member of our operations, you''ll play a vital role in keeping our neighbourhoods clean and organised.Key Responsibilities:Drive a heavy rigid truck to pick up hard rubbish from designated areas.Engage in physical activities, including lifting and handling heavy items.Perform yard activities related to rubbish collection and disposal.Maintain constant communication over UHF radio to ensure smooth operations.Adhere to a flexible schedule, starting as early as 4 am.Work overtime as required, with daily shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours.Demonstrate precision and skill in handling the heavy rigid truck in various conditions.Responsible and safety-conscious approach to all tasks.About you:Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy rigid trucks.Preferably possess experience with tipping mechanisms.Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver''s license.Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays.We deeply value the well-being of our team members; we prioritize mental health and strive to create a supportive environment for all.Waste Management Services is an equal opportunity employer.
