We also expect you to have fun along the way!The positions are FIFO from Perth, Darwin, or Broome to site or DIDO from Onslow, Exmouth, Karratha, or Dampier. Paulsens is located in the Ashburton Basin of the Eastern Pilbara region, 211kms inland east of Onslow and 180km west of Paraburdoo. Flights are to Onslow or Paraburdoo, then a two-hour transport to site.The roster is 8/6, day shift only.About the OpportunityWorking in close collaboration with Geologists in the on-site core yard our Geology Technicians key accountabilities include: Participating in pre-starts and handovers to arrange daily work activities and prioritisation. Processing of diamond drill core samples ensuring layout and orientation of core samples and meters are correct, marked up and cut, ready to go to the laboratory for analysis. Maintaining a high level of housekeeping, ensuring remaining core samples, core pallets and chip trays are systematically stored and all data collected is recorded.About YouWe are looking for a person with a positive and motivated can do attitudes, able to work collaboratively, and with a diverse range of people across all levels who understand we are all in this together.In addition, we require the following: Strong understanding and experience with processing of grade control diamond core. Experience with meter marking, orientation, cutting, and sampling. Competent with Integrated Tool Carrier operation highly regarded. High-risk forklift licence.
