We invite you to join us as we continue to explore and create better ways to educate, grounded in Christian values for the whole of life.Description:PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThis position primarily supports the teaching and learning processes of students to achieve their God-given potential in all areas of learning in collaboration with the Classroom and Learning Support Teacher.ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support student learning and engagement, responding to student needs as they arise and maintaining an orderly and attractive learning environment.Deliver Tier 2 (strategic) and Tier 3 (Intensive) Literacy and Numeracy programs for small groups of students where trained and under the direction of the Learning Support Teacher.Complete and submit assessment data to the Learning Support Teacher regularly.Run small groups according to the Learning Support Assistant timetable and maintain records on attendance, lessons, lesson notes, and resources used.Assist the Learning Support Teacher in maintaining Individual Student Programs that integrate these records.Develop and manage Learning Support activities timetable for each term and run small groups accordingly.Provide regular feedback to Learning Support and class teachers on small group progress.Deliver standardized testing and placement testing to individual students where teacher qualifications are not necessary.Assist in supervising activities such as connect groups, chapel, extra-curricular activities, and playground duties, as directed.Assist the Learning Support Teacher with student testing.Assist and teach students with additional needs within a classroom environment, either in small groups or individually, under the teacher''s direction.Assist with supervision of Disability Adjustments/Provisions for NAPLAN and exams.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Committed Christian actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.Understanding of social/emotional development and strategies to embed within education.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and eager to learn new educational technologies.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Current Working with Children Check.ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:Discretion, confidentiality, honesty, and integrity.Positive, self-directed, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.Ability to follow policies regarding challenging student behavior.Understanding of social/emotional development strategies.Adaptability, resilience, and a mindset for continuous personal growth.Pedagogical expertise and commitment to professional development.Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively and resolve conflicts effectively.Calm, methodical approach to managing priorities.WELL PARTNER WITH YOU ALONG THE WAYAs a member of the St. Philips team, we support your personal and professional growth, helping you realize your God-given purpose and potential while confidently addressing future challenges.Note: All SPCC employees are responsible for maintaining a workplace free from sexual harassment, supporting Child Safe Standards, and complying with work health safety standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
