The hotel also features elegant food and beverage outlets, an executive lounge, two fitness centres, a day spa, and fully flexible event spaces for up to 1100 delegates.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst specialising in the Food and Beverage industry to join our team at Sofitel Brisbane Central. In this role, you will analyze income and expenditure across all areas of the hotel''s Food and Beverage division. You will deliver key insights from data to inform strategies focused on revenue growth, cost management, and profitability.This is a fixed-term position through January 2026, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.Responsibilities include:Analyze Food and Beverage Sales Mix daily for all outlets.Fully analyze the Conference and Events profitability and identify improvement opportunities.Prepare periodic reports to support decision-making.Identify profit opportunities, focusing on revenues and expenditures.Build, articulate, and present data sets by meal period based on consumption trends.Assist the Conference and Events team with informed pricing decisions using provided tools.Conduct desktop competitor analysis.Undertake field studies across hotel outlets to understand consumption and wastage.Measure and analyze all complimentary food and beverage consumed within the hotel.Collaborate with Purchasing and operations teams on stock checks and safeguarding procedures.QualificationsIdeal candidates will have:A Bachelor''s degree or be studying towards an Accounting or Finance qualification.3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the food and beverage industry.Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Formulas, VBA, Macros, Charts & Graphs).Ability to manage large datasets.Experience with Opera and Micros reporting, variance analysis, insights, and data visualization.Proficiency or willingness to learn Sunsystems.Experience in Food and Beverage, especially with billing, financial, or administrative duties.Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.Knowledge of industry trends and financial metrics.Analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.Organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple projects.Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.Additional InformationWe offer benefits including discounts, complimentary stays, secure parking, access to train stations, uniforms, and wellbeing initiatives.
