Join to apply for the Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift role at Bristile Roofing.Were seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our Bristile Roofing Plant in Wacol, QLD. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining all mechanical systems within the plant, identifying potential preventative maintenance needs, and participating in continuous improvement activities.Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday (4 days/week) 4:00am to 2:30pm.Duties include but are not limited to:Diagnose machinery faults to ensure smooth operation.Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with WHS policies.Use tools to fit and assemble parts, applying mechanical knowledge.Maintain machinery for efficient operation.Complete planned maintenance and address unexpected issues.Investigate and fix equipment faults quickly to minimize downtime.Collaborate with team members to resolve breakdowns and prevent them through preventative maintenance.Identify potential problem areas and take preventive measures.Ensure all work meets industry standards and legal requirements, completing necessary documentation.Success Requirements:Mechanical Fitting Trade qualification.Knowledge of mechanical fitting, welding, and fabrication.Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC operation (desirable).Ability to read schematic drawings, plans, and specifications.Teamwork and collaboration skills.Strong time management, organizational, and administrative skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks to minimize downtime.Why join us?Support for Childrens Cancer Institute (CCI).Diversity and inclusivity valued.Parental leave scheme.Employee Share Plan (eligibility applies).Recognition programs.Ongoing training and career growth opportunities.Support programs for employees and families.Product discounts for staff and their families and friends.Who We ArePart of Brickworks Building Products, known globally for quality building materials.
