The Collaroy Centre is seeking a Casual Kitchen Hand to support our catering operations on site. Owned by The Salvation Army, our mission is to impact lives by growing and valuing people through hosting school camps, conferences, retreats, and assisting the needy via mission programs. About the Role You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of all catering-related equipment and flatware, including washing dishes and general kitchen cleaning (sweeping, mopping floors, etc.). Shifts: Availability 7 days per week, generally from 7am-3pm or 5pm to approximately 8pm. Typical duties include: Back of House Kitchen Cleanliness: Ensuring all food preparation areas are cleaned according to food service standards to support smooth operations. Cookery Duties: Occasional vegetable chopping; note that this is not the main part of the role. Team Support: Participating in team activities, attending staff meetings, and supporting team effectiveness.
