You will be well rewarded, residentially based, and valued as you contribute to our growth.As part of Kolsen Group, RAM Services (RAMS) specializes in industrial services and facilities maintenance across the Oil and Gas, Marine, and Infrastructure industries.Growing our business through diversity, equality, and fair employment practices, we have built an outstanding team trusted to service the requirements of many tier-one clients across the Northern Territory.RAM Services is currently looking for a Mechanical Technician (Fitter) to join our growing facilities maintenance business.Description:Due to continued success, RAMS is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team at our NATA-accredited Berrimah facility.Your mechanical skills, knowledge, and experience will directly contribute to the value RAM Services provides to our clients in the energy, marine, and infrastructure industries.You will work with autonomy on a wide variety of equipment, with ongoing training, support, and career development opportunities.This is a full-time, residential role based in Darwin, working Monday to Friday, with occasional remote travel.Skills and Experiences:Key Capabilities and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Contributing to an outstanding team culture that is safety-focused, customer-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.Attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.A self-starter, capable of working with minimal supervision and owning tasks.Ability to think creatively for technical solutions and improvements.Strong mechanical diagnostic skills.Service, repair, and testing of industrial compressors, pumps, and blowers.Rotating equipment alignment.Service, repair, and testing of pressure relief and safety valves.Flange management and alignment.Future Training Opportunities:Gas Detection CalibrationService of Breathing Apparatus EquipmentTesting of Pressure Relief ValvesSkills and Experience:Required Qualifications and Tickets:Mechanical Trade (Cert III Engineering) or an equivalent recognized trade qualification.Current Drivers License.Nationally recognized Construction Card (White Card).Full Australian work rights.Desirable:Experience in the hydrocarbon industry.Familiarity with quality assurance processes such as NATA and ISO standards.Hydrostatic testing of pressure vessels and hoses, calibration of pressure gauges and torque wrenches.Compressor servicing experience.Senior First Aid certification (obtained within the past 2 years).Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, Confined Space Entry, Forklift, Breathing Apparatus certifications.Essential:Reliable transportation.Ability to pass industry medicals and drug and alcohol screening.Criminal history check.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply.Learn more about RAMS and Kolsen at www.kolsen.com.au.If you believe you possess the motivation, qualifications, skills, and experience, and this opportunity interests you, please submit a cover letter and resume by clicking the Apply button. #J-18808-Ljbffr
