JOB SUMMARY: The Fire Alarm & Security Technician installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs fire alarm and security systems, along with other fire and life safety products, with minimal supervision. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Knowledge of various manufacturers'' clean agent and high-pressure suppression systems. Proper use of tools and test equipment such as multi-meters, megger, laptops for programming, lifts, etc., to repair or replace fire alarm and suppression system components. Comprehensive understanding of fire alarm codes and standards. Programming and software skills with various fire alarm systems used in component removal or replacement. Troubleshoot faults, including ground faults, in fire alarm systems. Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components like FACP, power supplies, alarm-initiating devices, etc. Handle, remove, and replace explosive actuators such as squibs and gas cartridges safely, following procedures. Communicate professionally with internal and external customers and offsite monitoring companies. Be punctual at work locations and complete projects timely. Use Field Service Lightning to track work orders, materials, and time. Complete documentation on work orders accurately. Follow safety protocols, SDS, hazardous communication policies, and participate in weekly toolbox talks. Keep safety documentation accessible on each project. Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and condition as per policies. Be available for on-call emergency service requests as required. Attend seminars or training to stay updated on technology, codes, and standards. Train service technician trainees in fire protection aspects. Perform other duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
