Join to apply for the Trade Assistant role at FortescueJoin to apply for the Trade Assistant role at FortescueOur OpportunityOur OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our Structural Integrity Team at Christmas Creek, supporting our boilermakers in maintaining and repairing fixed plant infrastructure.Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescues Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.Roster: 14D14R FIFO ex Perth, Busselton or KarrathaKey ResponsibilitiesSupport boilermakers in the maintenance and structural repair of fixed plant assetsOperate telehandler and flatbed truck (LF ticket desirable can be provided on site if required)Assist in the gathering of parts, tools and consumablesSet up job fronts and ensure safe work areasConduct basic inspections of structural componentsAssist with hot works preparation and equipment handlingAlign to and role-model Fortescues values in day-to-day tasksQualifications And ExperiencePrevious experience supporting trades in a mining or heavy industry environmentCurrent C class drivers licence essentialWorking at heights ticket preferred but not essentialPrevious rigging experience will be highly regardedStrong teamwork and communication skillsA proactive, safety-first approach with strong problem-solving capabilitiesSelf-motivated with a willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing teamAbout UsBe part of something big.
