The building was formerly a popular cinema, opened in 1911, reflecting its rich history throughout the guest experience.The hotel features 109 rooms across six floors, with event and meeting areas, an iconic London restaurant, The Palomar, a coffee house with Baker Bleu pastries, a cozy cocktail and wine bar, and a rooftop bar with city skyline views. The ground floor outlets are in collaboration with London-based creative hospitality studio, Studio Paskin. A new era at 25hours Hotel The Olympia aims to shape and transform Paddington, welcoming a diverse team to bring its vision to life.COME AS YOU ARE & SHOW US YOUR VISION As Pastry Chef at The Palomar, youll lead all things sweetcrafting desserts that reflect creativity and passion. From developing ideas to executing with precision, youll bring joy to guests and shape a memorable pastry menu.This role contributes daily to our exceptional culinary experience...Lead the pastry section from prep to service, ensuring high-quality desserts.Design, develop, and refine dessert menus with the Head Chef, incorporating seasonality and creativity.Maintain standards in presentation, taste, and technique.Oversee pastry mise en place and production, ensuring efficiency and minimal waste.Manage stock levels and ordering within budget.Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.Mentor and train junior team members.Collaborate with the kitchen team for seamless service.Stay updated on trends and techniques to keep the pastry menu innovative.QualificationsExperience in a senior pastry role in high-end or high-volume kitchens.Ability to lead a pastry section independently.Strong understanding of classic techniques and modern presentation.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure.Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and kitchen standards.Passion for experimenting and delighting guests.Additional InformationJoin an innovative, expanding international group committed to building a global brand.Work in a creative, rewarding environment.Be part of a passionate team focused on hospitality excellence.Enjoy a competitive package and growth opportunities.Ready to join our 25hours Tribe?Sign in, upload your CV with salary requirements.
