My client is looking for a Buyer to help drive their growth and innovation in the retail space. Buying & Assortment PlanningDevelop and implement strategic buying plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets.Curate a diverse and on-trend product range that resonates with our target audience and contributes to robust category growth.Optimize product assortments by balancing price, volume, quality, innovation, and trends.Negotiate pricing, terms, and exclusive collaborations with suppliers to secure innovative products.Drive product development for exclusive assortments with top brand partners.Analyze sales performance, track trends, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams to create impactful in-store and online experiences.Provide input on promotional strategies, ensuring product launches align with brand messaging and business objectives.Build excitement for new product launches through compelling storytelling and high-energy communication.Collaborate with retail teams to share insights and strategies that boost brand awareness and drive sales.3. OTB Planning & SupportCollaborate with planning teams to manage range sign-offs, sales targets, and stock turnover.Analyse weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales to inform purchasing decisions and adjust orders based on market conditions.Execute strategies for markdowns, managing stock levels and ensuring timely product movement through the business.4. Article Lifecycle & Stock ManagementOversee the Critical Path process from product development to store placement, ensuring on-time delivery.Collaborate with retail operations and suppliers to ensure that all products meet the agreed-upon terms and timelines.Continuously seek opportunities to improve buying department efficiency and streamline processes.5. Post-Season & Brand ReviewsConduct comprehensive post-season and brand reviews to assess performance, identify opportunities, and refine strategies for future seasons.Share key insights and action plans with the retail team to foster continuous improvement.6.
