Add expected salary to your profile for insightsA rare opportunity has become available for an energetic and proactive Production Coordinator to come on board!Reporting to the Production Manager, this role manages the hour-to-hour operation on their shift with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity of the factory. This includes troubleshooting and liaising with the appropriate internal stakeholders.The successful candidate needs to have strong leadership skills, a high degree of autonomy, excellent communication skills, a desire to learn, an analytical mindset, and the ability to handle administration and reporting tasks.You will need to foster and maintain a work environment conducive to performance, continuous improvement, employee engagement, and the highest levels of safe working practices.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Monitoring production schedule progress by line and escalating major unplanned downtime.Ensuring all lines operate at correct production speeds.Reviewing and aligning rosters and schedules.Ensuring compliance with food safety requirements for all products manufactured.Completing and recording all QA checks.Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures.Producing products according to company specifications and quality guidelines, obtaining authorized specifications before production.Identifying faulty products during manufacturing.Following up on reports of product non-conformance with preventative or corrective actions.Ensuring all production team members adhere to company policies and procedures.Maintaining high hygiene and housekeeping standards.Minimizing packaging and product waste, optimizing machine and labor utilization.Motivating staff to achieve high performance levels.Developing and implementing process improvements.Supporting training and induction for operators.Promoting cross-department collaboration to optimize productivity.Managing team performance as required.About you:Flexibility to rotate between shifts.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to organize and manage workflow.Leadership, coaching, and team development skills.Conflict resolution and change management abilities.Experience in FMCG industry is desirable.Dairy industry experience is a plus.Focus on quality and safety best practices.Understanding of production management, planning, and problem-solving methods.Good financial understanding.Degree in food science, management, or a related field is preferred.If you have the ambition, drive, and competency to succeed in this role, please submit your application, including your current resume, by selecting ''Apply'' and following the prompts.About us:At Lactalis, we are a family business committed to producing healthy and delicious dairy products that bring people together.
