Through a robust stakeholder feedback loop and supported by consistent processes and leadership, we take pride in delivering responsive, fair and professional service with empathy and efficiency.How you will create an impactManage a portfolio of casualty claims in a proactive, efficient and cost-effective manner while delivering a high-quality service to customers. Developing commercial relationships with internal/external stakeholders including brokers and customers.The team comprises casualty claims examiners from Australia & New Zealand and reports into a casualty line of business manager. The team assesses and reviews casualty claims for general & products liability, environmental impairment liability and crisis policies, both as a primary and excess insurer and for both domestic and multinational clients.Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:To proactively manage a claims portfolio within your authority in a cost-effective manner by ensuring that claims are accurately assessed as to indemnity, liability, and quantum.To control claims related expenses by appointing external service providers only when necessary and properly managing such service providers when they are appointed.Communicate and manage issues on cover and quantum to clients and brokers quickly, clearly and efficiently using all forms of communication.Adherence to all department issued and company issued guidelines and procedures.Compliance with General Insurance Code of Practice.Attend meetings required for the purpose of claims management.Engage with profit centres from time to time on new business opportunities and renewals.Attend to any other tasks or responsibilities assigned from time to time by management.Embrace a learning culture and environment and identify / communicate areas of improvement.What youll need to succeedPrevious claims handling experience and/or understanding of tort lawStrong and flexible communication skillsProblem solving skills with strategic planning and executionAbility to drive outcomes in a proactive mannerSituational adaptation in approach to achieve positive outcomesAble to work autonomously but within a team environmentAppreciation of different stakeholders interests both internally and externally with a willingness to assist as requiredOpen minded, inclusive and reasonableness in approach in dealings with all claims related partiesReady to prove your potential?
