This enables our team to provide world-class prevention and detection of financial crime to safeguard the Group and wider community through our expertise, insights, and quality.You will be part of the Financial Crime Operations team, focusing on ensuring strong operational cadences with a strong quality and compliance focus on outcomes with efficiency in the way that we disrupt financial crime.The Role:As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of quality and output of services to support the Group in managing its financial crime obligations. In this role, in addition to other responsibilities and work types, you will have the delegation to submit suspicious matter reports (SMR) to our regulator AUSTRAC, as well as driving daily business outcomes in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment.You will use investigative skills to perform transaction monitoring checks and analysis to identify money laundering and terrorism financing activity across a range of individuals and entities.On any given day you will:Draft and/or review cases of transaction monitoring alerts, ensuring red flags are identified and the grounds for suspicion are correctly documented and clearly articulated.Provide the required assessment and investigation of events in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Capture and document your due diligence, findings, and decision rationale within the relevant alert and case management systems.Operate within delegated authorities and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.Were interested in hearing from people who have:A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience preparing and submitting high quality Suspicious Matter Reports.Demonstrable experience in a financial crime, regulatory, or law enforcement operations role.Sound understanding of AML/CTF and Sanctions obligations.Well-developed judgment and investigative skills, able to use resources at your disposal to produce effective results.Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment preferred.From here, the opportunities are endlessAt CommBank, were determined to make a real difference for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
