Reporting to the Director of Sales, the focus will be to promote Hilton Sydney to key agents, clients, and industry partners.Primary ResponsibilitiesIdentify and pursue opportunities in the Groups and MICE segments, focusing on past bookings (Bring Back Old Business - BBOB) and acquiring new business to meet revenue targets.Identify ancillary revenue opportunities across all market segments for revenue optimization.Assist the sales team and Director of Sales in market intelligence gathering, site inspections, events, trade shows, and networking activities.Align activities with hotel revenue strategies, collaborating with team members internally and externally.Job Specific CompetenciesProactively develop business in GME and high-end leisure segments by identifying opportunities.Understand and focus on key revenue goals and targets.Prepare detailed account plans with clear objectives for current and future business, updating regularly in the system (Delphi).Monitor market intelligence, including competitor rates and offerings, to inform strategy and meet targets.Stay informed about hotel strategies and market needs.Explore all MICE, Group, and transient opportunities, ensuring Hilton Sydneys participation.Engage in lead generation, qualifying opportunities, and responding promptly with competitive offers.Utilize tools to analyze market trends and identify short and long lead opportunities.Achieve a minimum of 15 calls per day and 10 sales activities per week.Present account performance and market intelligence in monthly Business Focus Meetings, including strategies for opportunities and risks.Submit monthly activity reports to the Director of Sales.Support the development of annual revenue plans and rate reviews.Coordinate site inspections, client entertainment, and familiarization trips, which may require working evenings and weekends.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum two years experience in a similar rolePreferably tertiary qualificationsAbility to work under management direction and collaboratively within a teamPrevious hotel sales experience preferredSelf-motivated and independentStrong administrative and communication skillsCustomer-focused with problem-solving skillsAbility to build relationships internally and externallyPositive engagement with the Hilton team at all levelsExcellent verbal and written communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
