The branch also co-ordinates proficiency testing programs to assist laboratories assess their ongoing performance. The branch houses three of Australias national testing laboratories, for forensic drugs, ultra-trace pollutants and anti-doping in sport. The branch delivers services across multiple sectors, including food, health and environment, carrying out research and development to enhance our capabilities in line with national and international requirements.The Bioanalysis Section provides technical support and genetic reference materials within Australia and internationally. The industries we engage with include biotech instrument and test kit manufacturers, food and feed producers, biotherapeutic manufacturers and cancer research organisations.The opportunityWe need a systematic, well organised person to help us supply reference materials to our expanding client base. The position encompasses a wide range of laboratory work using the latest digital PCR methods. You will be provided with thorough training in measurement science, method validation and the requirements for provision of accredited services by contributing the Bioanalysis Quality System.
