Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.Key focus areasThe Secondary TAS Teacher Will Fit The Following CriteriaQualifications and Ability to teach Stage 4 Technology Mandatory and Stage 6 Hospitality and Food Technology.Extensive, contemporary and authoritative professional knowledge and understanding of the teaching of technology and the factors that influence learning and the development of skills.Use effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated assessment approaches and a wide variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student learning outcomes.Build effective relationships and manage complex interactions and balancing the development of skills and knowledge.Create engaging, intellectually challenging and safe learning environments through planning, implementing and evaluating rigorous and inclusive learning programs.Make a positive difference to the learning outcomes of the students taught.Sensitive and responsive to all aspects of the context in which they teach including use of technology and other resources, teaching practices and ways in which assessment and feedback is provided to students.Excellent teachers of Technology are committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development.They work creatively and constructively within a range of ''communities'' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students.Exhibit personal approaches characterised by caring and respect for others.The OrganisationCatholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD''S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
