ALS provides the solutions required to maximise the inherent value of coal products.About the PositionALS Coal Gunnedah is looking for a Quality Coal Tester for our Laboratory in a permanent position.Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Conducting routine coal sampling and testingAssisting with sample preparation and analysisMaintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocolsCollaborating with team members across different sites as requiredDay to DayCollection of a range of production and train samplesPerforming a range of preparation and analytical tests including Ash, Moisture, and Total SulphurEnsuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to standard operating instructionsChecking and validating all results to ensure they are within repeatability tolerancesMaintaining laboratory equipment: Ovens/Furnaces, Leco/SulfurOptimising turnaround time for samples while ensuring the highest quality of resultsFollowing Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating ProceduresMaintaining high standards of housekeeping and presentation of all equipment and work areasSkills/Qualifications:Previous experience in a Laboratory or mine setting is advantageousA can-do attitudeFlexible and adaptable to work extra shiftsA strong focus on safety & qualityAbility to work alone and unsupervised at timesDriver''s LicenseGood organisation and communication skillsEveryone mattersALS is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where the strengths and perspectives of each employee are recognized and valued.EligibilityTo be eligible to work at ALS, you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid working visa.As part of the selection process, a pre-employment medical exam, including drug and alcohol assessment, is required.How to applyPlease apply online and include a cover letter and CV that demonstrate your motivation and ability to meet the requirements of this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
