One of Melbournes most iconic CBD arcades is transforming, with the redevelopment of "Melbourne Walk" Arcade set to host IHG''s first dual-branded hotel project in Australia, opening in 2025.Guests entering Hotel Indigo can expect local character, modern design, and warm, professional service with a vibrant, individual flavor, bringing the edgy laneway neighborhood of Little Collins Street to life. Holiday Inn will offer a modern, fresh, and friendly stay, leveraging its reputation for convenience and value, complemented by all that Bourke Street Mall has to offer.As Night Manager, youll oversee the hotel during overnight hours, ensuring safety, security, and smooth operations. Youll manage guest experiences, supervise team performance, and ensure the accurate and timely completion of the night audit. With a calm, confident presence, youll lead by example, responding professionally to issues and supporting overnight colleagues through hands-on leadership and coaching to promote growth, engagement, and a positive work environment.A little taste of your day-to-dayAssist in creating and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the front office, specifically for the Night Audit function and overnight duties.Ensure the front office team delivers excellent service, professionalism, and personal recognition.Greet guests upon arrival, engage with them, respond to complaints appropriately, solicit feedback, and foster relationships to improve guest satisfaction.Conduct routine inspections of hotel grounds and address deficiencies promptly.Provide cross-departmental support to ensure a seamless guest experience.Ensure colleagues are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.Assist management with induction, onboarding, training, and development of staff as part of the Performance Management Cycle.Manage all hotel operations during your shift.Oversee night audit and prepare daily financial reports, working closely with the finance team to ensure detailed and accurate reporting.Be prepared to respond to emergency situations effectively.What we need from youAt least three years of guest service or hotel experience, including one year in a management role.Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.Strong problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities and ensure memorable guest experiences.Current Responsible Service of Alcohol, First Aid, and CPR certifications, with renewal in line with industry standards.Availability to work shifts from 11 pm to 7 am.Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.What you can expect from usJoining this exciting hotel opening offers a unique career opportunity, competitive salary, and a range of benefits including room discounts and comprehensive training.
