The works.Worked in a place where everythings last minute, processes are duct-tapedtogether and logistics is treated like a necessary evil?This isnt that.About the roleThis is a logistics role with teeth. Youre not just reacting to problems, youre preventing them.Youll be running the full logistics show. That means booking containers, managing freight forwarders, gathering customs documentation and ensuring shipments actually leave on time and land where they''re supposed to.Youll be working closely with the warehouse crew to make sure everythings packed, prepped, and perfect before it hits the docks.This will entail being the nerve centre between freight, supply chain, production and customers. Internal and external. Being on the front-foot always.Theres a healthy dose of import and export work. Dealing with everything from customs clearance and regulatory documentation, to making sure the right codes are on the right forms.Youll monitor stock movement, track inventory across systems, help plan production scheduling, and provide insight to improve how the whole operation runs.The KPI reporting and process improvement bits arent just lip service either. If you can spot inefficiencies and turn them into savings, people will notice.About youYouve been around logistics long enough. Youre the one sorting things out while others are still scratching their heads.Bringing around 5 years of experience already. Probably in a fast-paced and quick-moving environment. Product focused and reliant on international freight.Youve worked with SAP or something similar. And if someone throws a spreadsheet at you with 12 pivot tables and conditional formatting, youll love it. In fact, you might clean it up while youre at it.You''re the type who sees a shipment delay and immediately checks tracking, calls the carrier, updates the customer, and finds a workaround. You dont wait to be told what to do. Youve got a sharp eye for process improvement, and when you say we could save money if we re-routed this, you''re not guessing, youve got the data to back it up.Strong communicator? Yes. You know how to get to the point, keep people updated, and ask the right questions when something smells off.A background in supply chain planning, warehousing or production support?
