Position ObjectivesThe Administration and Media Officer position plays a critical role in supporting the Chief ExecutiveOfficer (CEO), the Executive Team, and Elected Members through the delivery of high-leveladministrative, communications, and stakeholder engagement support. The position will beresponsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive media and communication strategyaimed at enhancing and fortifying the public image of both the Barkly Region and the Council. Thisrole requires strong organisational and communication skills to manage office operations, coordinateevents, maintain Councils public presence, and streamline administrative functions in a fast-pacedenvironment. The position also liaises across various teams and with external stakeholders to ensureCouncils messaging and operations are effective, accurate, and aligned with strategic goals.It is a requirement of this position that the position holder is willing and able to travel and work inremote communities located within the Barkly Regional Council area; and that the position holderagrees that this requirement may, from time to time, require the position holder to stay overnight.2.
