Job ID: 2973021 | Amazon Commercial Services Pty LtdWe currently have a vacancy for a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join the Amazon Australia Team. This position is within the Fulfillment Center (FC), reporting into the Regional WHS Manager. It requires working with the WHS team to deliver high standards of safety within our FC. The suitable applicant will be trained in both the standard work and tools used within the WHS function. You will be a strong communicator, who values teamwork, is proactive about safety, and can function as a role model and engage professionally with the entire FC workforce.Note: This is an hourly-based role working on night shift from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 pm to 4:30 am.Key job responsibilitiesIdentify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.Facilitate incident investigation processes.Maintain required documentation to comply with Amazon and local regulations.Enter safety incident information into the internal database promptly.Perform safety observations and audits.Coach others (e.g., Area Managers) to complete their safety responsibilities, including audits, following safety rules, and inspections.Depending on the business unit and location, may have additional responsibilities such as fire prevention or hazardous waste management.Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.Note: This is an hourly role based on shift patterns.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSAt least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.Bachelor''s Degree in a safety-related field or Cert IV in WHS.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.Willingness to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.In the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of land throughout Australia, paying respect to their elders past and present, and extending this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on veteran status, disability, or other protected characteristics.
