Join to apply for the Clinical Nurse - Clinical Trials role at West Moreton Hospital and Health Service 3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants About The Role The Clinical Nurse Clinical Trials is a registered nurse who practices at an advanced level, working collaboratively within the Clinical Trials Unit and with clinical departments undertaking clinical trials at West Moreton Health. This involves working collaboratively with the health care team including consumers/carers, other health professionals, pharmaceutical companies and other agencies (including non-Government agencies). The purpose of this role is to lead the conduct of clinical trials at West Moreton Health, including: Understanding of clinical trial protocols Liaising with clinical trial sponsors, principal investigators and the Research Ethics and Governance Team to facilitate clinical trials. Supporting Specialist Clinic staff in the conduct of clinical trials Educating potential patient participants about clinical trials Supporting the Principal Investigator in undertaking consent processes Creating patient visit schedules for the clinical trial clinic. Drawing blood or other specimens, proper storage, and transfer to the clinical trial repository Conducting trial participant questionnaires Vital signs monitoring Setting up clinic templates into the iEMR Clinical Trials application and entering patient data into iEMR applications About You Our ideal candidate will demonstrate: Knowledge of clinical trials and nursing experience across clinical disciplines is preferred. Operational and strategic experience in research ethics, governance, and clinical trials processes, including a strong understanding of NHMRC National Statement, Australian Code, ICH GCP guidelines, and Queensland Health policies. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish professional relationships with stakeholders. Flexible, agile mindset; ability to manage responsibilities, show initiative, solve complex tasks, and work autonomously. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
