The Building Advisory team is the first point of contact for Selwyn District residents for all building matters and are pivotal to the internal function of the building department. In this role you will showcase excellent customer service to the community while carrying out a variety of administrative tasks. The Senior Building Advisor provides support and guidance to their colleagues and assists in the co-ordination of the team''s functions. Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to;Vetting of Building consentsEnsuring consistency in the quality of applications receivedProviding technical support to colleaguesSupervising Building Advisors in their on-the-job trainingResponding to internal and external queriesAbout you:Ideally you will be a team player, customer focused and comfortable working towards results in a team environment. It is essential that you have demonstrated experience working as a Building Advisor (or a similar role) and knowledge of the Building Act. As a Senior Advisor, you will enjoy training and providing supervision as required in the team.
