Were looking for a proactive, customer-focused Claims Officer to join our Commercial Property Liability team.In this role, youll manage a portfolio of third-party property damage claims where a customers business may have unintentionally caused damage to someone elses property. Youll be the key point of contact for brokers, insured businesses, and claimants, delivering clear, fair, and timely outcomes from lodgement through to finalisation.What youll doManage a portfolio of property liability claims end-to-end, from lodgement to settlementAssess coverage under relevant policies and determine liabilityCommunicate effectively with brokers, insured customers, and third-party claimantsCoordinate with internal stakeholders including Assessors, Legal, and Recoveries teamsIdentify and support vulnerable customers where neededMonitor claim progress, escalate delays, and contribute to continuous improvementMaintain a high standard of customer service while meeting compliance and quality standardsWhat youll bringExperience managing insurance claims, ideally in commercial or liability linesStrong communication skills verbal and written with a focus on clarity and professionalismSound judgement and the ability to interpret policies and apply critical thinkingThe confidence to work independently, while also contributing to a supportive teamA proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong organisational skillsEmpathy, resilience, and a genuine desire to help customers through challenging situationsFamiliarity with claims systems like Claims Centre is a bonusLocation: Brisbane or SydneyHybrid model: We operate a hybrid working model allowing you to work from home and from our brand-new Brisbane CBD office.
