Join us if you''re looking for a career that challenges and inspires.Role OverviewThe Research Systems Support Specialist will maintain and enhance library research systems and digital tools to improve discoverability of UNSW research outputs. Reporting to the Technical Lead, Research, this role involves collaboration with library staff and external vendors, system testing, documentation, and metadata management.Main ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with university teams to implement and upgrade research management systems.Communicate with vendors and user communities to resolve issues.Document and test library research support systems and integrations.Develop and maintain metadata schemas to enhance research output discoverability.Review research outputs for inclusion in institutional repositories.Candidate ProfileApplicants should have a degree or equivalent experience, strong analytical skills, and troubleshooting knowledge, especially with scripts and data harvesting. Good communication skills and understanding of library systems, metadata schemas like MODS and Dublin Core, and persistent identifiers are desirable.Additional InformationWorking hours are Monday to Friday, during business hours.
