About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Person to join our Sports Turf Team, contributing to the maintenance of ENGIE Stadium at Sydney Showground, home to AFLs GWS Giants and BBLs Sydney Thunder. Key Responsibilities Maintain and prepare playing surfaces for various sporting events. Maintain and prepare the GWS Giants Training Facility. Maintain and prepare the Sydney Showground drop-in wickets and practice wicket facility. Uphold the stadium grounds to ensure optimal condition for events. Assist in surface preparations for special events like concerts and the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations. About You Essential qualifications and skills include: Certificate III in Sports Turf Management / Horticulture or relevant discipline. Current C Class Drivers Licence. Appropriate licence to spray chemicals. Experience in applying chemicals and identifying areas of concern. Experience in sporting field maintenance. Understanding of WHS regulations. Ability to take initiative and handle challenges. Punctuality and reliability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Legal right to work in Australia. Why Join Us?
