The team is responsible for multiple functions, including governance and reporting, business partnering, capability uplift, helpdesk, and purchasing.About Your New RoleThe Senior Procurement Helpdesk Officer will lead the helpdesk and customer and stakeholder engagement initiatives to ensure effective communication and feedback across procurement activities. The role will lead the helpdesk to provide exceptional customer service in line with key performance indicators, drawing on strong understanding of procurement processes and legislation in a local government context. The role will proactively engage with City staff, supporting business led procurement and providing advice on guidance on all procurement related matters.We''re Looking For People Who HaveA degree in Communications, Business, or a related discipline, and/or relevant equivalent experience.Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a focus on training and mentoring staff members.Extensive knowledge of procurement procedures, policies, and best practices within a local government framework.Experience in addressing and resolving complex procurement-related inquiries.A strong dedication to providing outstanding customer service, ensuring the effective and accurate resolution of issues and inquiries.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Strong analytical skills, with the proficiency to examine trends and extract data-driven insights.Experience in identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing changes to boost efficiency.Experience in conducting training and informational sessions for diverse stakeholders.Proficient in the Microsoft suite as well as experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Open Windows)Be part of shaping the Gold Coast''s futureThe Gold Coast is inspired by lifestyle and driven by opportunity.
