Private Practice Manager (Maternity Relief)Currumbin Clinic is a 104-bed private mental health hospital located on the Southern Gold Coast, delivering high quality care and positive patient outcomes. We have a team of dedicated Psychiatrists, Medical, Nursing, Allied, and Administrative staff who provide expert care in the management and treatment of all acute mental health disorders.About the role:Acting Private Practice Manager to commence 1 August 2025, covering a nine-month maternity leave contract. Supporting the doctors and providing supervision, leadership, and direction to the administration team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our practice.The ideal candidate is proactive, regularly monitoring, implementing, and reviewing current processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement within the Private Practice. They should maintain a high standard of professionalism and communication skills, liaising and maintaining internal and external relationships as required.Required Criteria:Minimum 2 years experience in a managerial role of an administration team in a healthcare setting.Minimum 2 years experience managing and efficiently running a Private Practice, with knowledge of doctor setup, Medicare Australia/DVA, and TYRO.Tertiary qualifications in Practice/Business management are highly regarded.Excellent communication and liaison skills.Knowledge of medical software (Blue-chip, Medical Director, Medical Objects preferred).Knowledge of health fund/WorkCover/Medicare/DVA billing and rejections.Knowledge of medical typist duties (Olympus software preferred).Ability to support, mentor, and lead the Private Practice reception team.Ability to support and maintain relationships with doctors, locums, and registrars.Effective teamwork skills.Professional behavior and high-level organizational skills.Positive attitude and caring approach.Vaccination Preventable Disease:It is a condition of employment to be vaccinated against the following diseases during employment: Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); Varicella (chicken pox); Pertussis, Diphtheria, and Tetanus.
