Reporting to the Executive Director, Operations, the role sits within the senior leadership team. This position plays a key part in achieving strategic objectives and operational goals by ensuring efficient management of administrative functions, adherence to policies and procedures, and team support.About the roleThe role oversees the Student Centre, Student Administration, and Student Compliance teams, providing critical support in areas such as enrollment processes, exam and results coordination, student finance, and timetable management.Key responsibilities of the role are:Providing effective leadership, management and supervision to teams overseeing administrative functions, student compliance and reportingCollaborating with academic staff, as well as professional organisations on issues relating to student academic progress, student services and academic best practices and transition to UniversityMaintaining awareness of the regulatory environment as it relates to student services and administration and ensuring compliance with external and internal policy frameworksOverseeing the front counter enquiry functions and ensure accurate, high-quality advice is provided in a timely mannerDeveloping and maintain annual academic calendar and table of activities for student services and administration departmentProviding timely and accurate reports on operational matters (e.g. campus space utilisation, timetable management, results, complaints and appeals)Managing strategies and projects to support student retentionLeading collaborative efforts to continually improve service delivery, staff engagement, and contribution across the student services and administration portfolioLeading the development and management of key relationships with the University PartnerAbout youTo succeed in this role, you will need:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or extensive equivalent practical experience in a related role within the higher education sector or similarHighly developed oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to consult, prepare and deliver reports and liaise with a wide range of people from diverse range of backgroundsDemonstrated ability to work under broad direction, manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.Demonstrated experience in managing complex and sensitive student cases and critical incidents with experienceDemonstrated ability to lead and effectively manage teams, and promote a collaborative approach to the development and delivery of strategies aimed at improving student servicesDemonstrated commitment to providing a quality customer service to students with a strong focus on accurate and timely service and adviceExtensive operational management skills including budget management, planning, priority setting, and staff managementExperience in working in a
