The Head of the Department of Orthodontics will manage specialist Restorative Dentistry services, including Orthodontics, within SLHD Oral Health Services, operating according to Ministry protocols and referral guidelines.The Department Head will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote evidence-based practice, innovation, and excellence in care. They will lead clinical engagement, uphold professional standards, and foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Additionally, the Head will perform patient care duties, providing high-quality specialist dental services at Sydney Dental Hospital.About Sydney Dental HospitalSDH is one of the two tertiary referral centres for dentistry in NSW, offering comprehensive dental care, including emergency, routine, and specialty services. Established in 1904, it combines a rich history with modern, evidence-based practices. The hospital partners with the University of Sydney for undergraduate and postgraduate training and has a strong research culture with numerous peer-reviewed publications.Qualifications and RegistrationThe successful applicant must be registered, or eligible for registration, with AHPRA as a Dentist and as a Dental Specialist in Orthodontics.
