This position is an individual contributor or Manager level role typically reporting to the Director of Operations with responsibility, either through direct reporting oversight or in collaboration with Construction, Project Controls, Supply Chain, HR, HSE, and Finance management and staff.ResponsibilitiesThe CB&I Project Manager is responsible managing projects in a single country or sub-region within a single country. Projects assignments may range in scope from managing multiple small (Up to US$20MM) contracts or a single medium size (Up to US$100MM) project.This position has bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of projectsPrimary responsibilities are to comply with Company business & legal policies, maintain client relationships, protect the Company from unnecessary risks, manage resources for the project, provide overall leadership, and serve as a focal point for client communicationAdditional responsibilities include maintaining formal and accurate project forecasting, directing continuous improvements through a formal Lessons Learned program at the project level, assuring completion of internal and external project reportsMust have a complete understanding of the Contract agreement, project specifications, the "as-sold" scope of work, and contract commercial termsEstablishment and communication of project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policyAble to travel to project locations for client/customer meetings and site assessmentsRobust management of change to mitigate risk and leverage commercial advantageMaintain positive project cash flowRepresenting the Company and the project at all meetingsParticipation in the Commercial and Business Development process by providing operational input and during the pre-contract effortLocal RequirementsThe role is focused on the delivery of Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical & Instrumentation contracts associated with CB&Is storage business.The role requires initial periods in offices locations and moving to site as the project enters its construction phase.Knowledge and experience in executing multidisciplinary projects is a requirement.QualificationsTypically 12-15+ years since first degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in Project Engineering, Construction Management or Project Controls3+ years Project Site Engineering or Construction Management roleProfessional degree (Engineering or BS Preferred)Broad technical knowledge of construction methods and equipment, engineering processes, and fabrication capabilitiesFamiliarity with estimating, supply chain, project controls, and contract commercial managementKnowledge of Commercial Contracting and Negotiation strategiesFamiliarity with the Energy & Construction Industry preferredSkills and BehaviorsBusiness presence and polishKnowledge of CB&I products and marketsProactively identifies and solves the complex problemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMentally agile and ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlinesProven negotiating ability with high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated business partnering skills with the ability to influence the organizationAdaptability and agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environmentsA mature business and technical acumen coupled with a drive to achieve resultsExceptional communication and presentation skill, both written and verbalAbility to work and build credibility across the business, up to and including senior management level Establishes medium and long term career and personal development goalsProactively embraces and promotes the companys values and culture, including diversity & inclusion and a healthy and safe work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
