This is a rare opportunity to join a globally established organisation as they ramp-up their Australian operations.The OpportunityThis is a newly created role in Australia, taking over the reigns from their Singaporean subsidiary. A standalone role based in Sydney, ideal for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to build something from the ground up. Reporting to the Country Manager Australia with a dotted line to the Deputy CFO (offshore), youll play a critical role in shaping and managing all financial functions locally.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including transactions, expenses, and incomePerform daily bookkeeping: bank reconciliations, AP/AR management, and financial data accuracyEnsure integrity of the general ledger and conduct monthly balance sheet reviewsMonitor and report on key financial management indicators, resolving issues within set timelinesPrepare financial statements, reports, and summaries to inform decision-makingMonitor and update weekly cash flow; proactively flag concerns to Deputy CFOStay updated on accounting standards and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsOversee all local tax matters and legislative complianceLiaise with external auditors to ensure timely production of the Audit Financial Statement (AFS)Provide weekly financial updates to the Country Manager and support with cost control activitiesComplete ad hoc tasks and analysis as requested by the Deputy CFOWhat You BringA bachelors degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years'' relevant accounting experience in (food) manufacturing or similar industry.Expert knowledge and experience with SAP (Accounting)A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail, results-focused, and deadline-drivenStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesConfident operating autonomously while managing accountability and task delegationExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelWhats on offer is a versatile role within a small subsidiary of a global and very well-established organisation.
