With professionals across offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, we offer national coverage and a collaborative culture backed by the global reach of A&M.The Role: What Youll DoAs an Associate or Senior Associate, you will play a critical role in the delivery of client engagements, working alongside experienced practitioners to design and implement financial and operational restructuring strategies in both formal and informal contexts.You will gain exposure to high-profile turnaround and insolvency situations, developing practical, hands-on skills across a range of industries. Your work will help shape outcomes for businesses in financial distress, providing stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and real solutions.Your responsibilities will include:Performing detailed financial and operational analysis to assess business viability, liquidity, and restructuring optionsSupporting the development of turnaround strategies, cash flow forecasting, and implementation plansBuilding and reviewing financial models and preparing client-ready reports and presentationsAssisting with accelerated M&A processes, contingency planning, stakeholder negotiations and trade-on strategiesPreparing detailed reports for a variety of stakeholders including lenders, boards, and regulatorsContributing to multiple, concurrent engagements and maintaining high-quality delivery under required deadlinesSupporting the development of junior team members and sharing knowledge across the practiceConducting market researchUndertaking investigations in insolvency appointmentsParticipating in internal initiatives and contributing to business development efforts as part of your professional growthQualificationsA Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related fieldCA or CPA qualification (or progress toward completion)A minimum of 1 year experience (for Associate role) or 3 years experience (for Senior Associate role) in restructuring, insolvency, transaction services, corporate finance, audit, business services or a similar fieldStrong in MS PowerPoint and MS ExcelStrong financial modelling and analytical skills including preparation of 3-statement and liquidity models highly regardedExperience with data analytics and visualisation software (i.e. Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) highly regardedDemonstrated capability to manage workstreams or lead juniors (for Senior Associate role)A demonstrated genuine interest in insolvency, turnaround and restructuringQualities we look for in a candidate includeHigh attention to detail and ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable insightsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and persuasivelyHighly analytical mind-setStrong project management skillsTeam-oriented personality with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skillsThe ability to thrive in time-critical environments, often with incomplete informationFlexibility to travel as required by client engagements #J-18808-Ljbffr
