The role Crown Sydney is seeking a Senior Manager - Maintenance Operations within the Property Services team. Reporting to the General Manager Property Services, you will work alongside building and facilities professionals to drive operational excellence and manage all hard services and maintenance across our luxury, 6-star resort in Barangaroo. You will lead a team of 8 direct reports managing preventative and reactive maintenance for systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical, ensuring they meet luxury standards and operational needs. Your role involves implementing cost-effective systems to enhance guest experience, minimize downtime, and fostering a culture of continuous guest satisfaction. You will collaborate with various departments to align operations with brand standards and improve service delivery. Key responsibilities include: Managing daily maintenance activities for hotel and casino facilities to ensure operational continuity Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules Overseeing and mentoring the maintenance team, ensuring safety and performance standards Developing long-term maintenance strategies to preserve high-end facilities Handling urgent maintenance issues efficiently to minimize disruptions Conducting inspections and identifying areas for repairs or improvements Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships Overseeing renovation projects to maintain luxury standards Implementing energy-saving initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact Maintaining records of maintenance activities and compliance reports Qualifications and experience: Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field Operational and technical experience in building, construction, or project management Senior management experience in a commercial or industrial environment Experience advising senior leaders and managing projects within budget and time constraints Leadership experience with large, dynamic teams including contractors Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills Ability to obtain necessary Casino Employee Licenses What we offer: Full-time, permanent role based at Barangaroo Leadership opportunity at Crown Sydney On-site staff meals and participation in recognition programs Community involvement and diversity initiatives Discounts across Crown hotels, restaurants, and partner services Please note: Candidates must have full Australian working rights and pass pre-employment checks including police and criminal history screenings.
