Leada teamMake a real difference to the communityGreat opportunity with a growing and entrepreneurial organisationWe are looking for an up-and-coming people leader to coach, inspire, and lead the team!The SiteFaith Leech Aquatic Centre is Bendigo''s premier outdoor aquatic facility, home to the Bendigo Hawks Swimming Club and Bendigo Divers Association.The facility includes an Olympic-sized 50m outdoor pool, intermediate pool, shaded toddlers pool, water slide, dive pool with 1m & 3m springboards for public use, and expansive grassed lawns. All pools are heated, despite the outdoor setting.The RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Venue Manager to lead the team and deliver exceptional customer experiences on a full-time fixed-term basis when the pool reopens for the late 2025 season. You will be responsible for managing the facility, the team, and engaging with the community, ensuring operational, financial, and program success.You will develop and implement plans through engagement with the Centres leadership, stakeholders, and the local Council. Your background in sales, financial, and risk management will drive the Centres success.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure safety and well-being of visitors and staff through effective policies, processes, and procedures.Coach and develop leaders to meet KPIs via engagement, performance planning, and development plans.Foster a high-performance, community-focused culture through visible leadership and team engagement.Achieve budgeted performance targets.Maintain a strong relationship with the local Council.Implement a customer service approach that meets client needs.Recruit passionate, diverse staff to support the Centres vision.Train staff to ensure knowledge and capabilities meet requirements.Identify and develop career paths for staff, ensuring transparent succession planning.Maintain facilities to approved standards per contract requirements.About YouYou are an emerging leader with vision and energy, passionate about leisure, and eager to join a growing organization.
