This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Operational Resilience and Business Continuity LeaderReporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Mercer Super, this role will be responsible for preparing MSAL to respond to and recover from a wide variety of significant disruptive events.This role forms an integral part of the Mercer Super 1st Line of Accountability senior leadership team. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of Mercer Supers Operational Resilience and Business Continuity capability across Mercer Super.We will count on you to:Design, implement and maintain Mercer Super Business Continuity Risk profiling, Mercer Super Business Resiliency Policy, Business Continuity Plans and Crisis Management Plan.Drive annual reviews of all Business Continuity Plans, procedures and workarounds to ensure suitability and compliance with regulatory obligations, minimum standards and good practices.Work with 2nd Line of Accountability, and all business lines to prepare for multiple threats and scenarios that could create a significant business disruption.Design, organise and facilitate severe but plausible testing, training and awareness annual program.Design and facilitate annual Mercer Super crisis management exercise.If significant business disruption occurs leading to a crisis, assist the Mercer Super CEO and COO to respond and solve the crisis event based on Business Continuity arrangement and/or tailor-made strategies adopted to disruption nature and evolution.Facilitate and drive activities (with Mercer Super COO team) to identify, assess, understand and maintain business risk profile (Risk & Control Self Assessments) within Risk Appetite.Drive annual reviews of processes through COO team to ensure suitability and compliance with regulatory obligations and policy.Act as the Business Continuity 1st line of Accountability and trusted adviser to Mercer Super team ensuring effective and timely information to decisions around non-financial risk.Work with 2nd line of Accountability and Mercer Super Leadership Team and their respective teams to assess risk in change for all internally driven projects and identify impacts for external / regulatory driven change ensuring effective management of risks and ownership of implementation activities.What you need to have:10+ years experience in professional services organization or professional customer services.10+ years experience in Business Continuity or Information Risk Management Risk roles.Previous experience in a Risk or Compliance role (Financial or Non-Financial) either within 1st or 2nd Line of Accountability.Experience with CPS 232, 230 or equivalent compliance.Previous experience representing an organisation externally.Demonstrated experience in driving and implementing Business Resilience management programs in an Australian Superannuation and/or Banking context.Sound knowledge of Superannuation products and services, including information technologySound knowledge of risk management being able to identify risks and vulnerabilities, potential constraints and impact, dependencies and external factors, like supply chain and market eventsUnderstanding of regulatory and compliance regimes associated with business continuity, security and cyber crime.What makes you stand out:Experience working within SuperannuationStrong communication skills both written and oral ability to develop and present.Excellent work planning and organisational skills.Excellent time management skills.Strong business acumen and financial skills.People management skills.Why join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leadersWe foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communitiesOur scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-beingMercer, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is a global leader in helping clients realize their investment objectives, shape the future of work and enhance health and retirement outcomes for their people.
