You will provide leadership and support a team to deliver person-centred, recovery-oriented care to clients to develop daily living and social skills, build community networks, achieve wellbeing goals and live independently in the community. The Team Leader will act as the practice lead to staff providing supervision, mentoring and coaching.About the serviceThe Housing with Support program is a long-term housing option for people with serious mental health conditions. The Haven residences are staffed 24/7 and offer a homelike environment. Funding comes from clients'' NDIS packages, and care is based on Minds recovery-focused approach. The service works closely with clients, offering personalised 1:1 support, group activities, and skills-building to help them manage daily life, improve relationships, connect with the community, and increase their confidence to live independently.Key responsibilitiesCoach and lead a team to deliver high quality services and facilitate positive educational and social experiences.Support clients to return to their community, live independently and enjoy a meaningful life through a staged approach to recovery.Support staff and assist in providing personal care to our clientsLead and model effective practice to staff working with clients, provide support to families and carers, and plan and deliver group work.Manage the day-to-day operations of the service including administration, rostering, facilitating handovers, recruitment and planning budget expenditure.Collaborate with a range of services and the community to ensure a co-ordinated, integrated response to clients recovery goals.What youll bringTertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health-related field.Expertise in working with people with mental health issues, complex needs and interacting with families and carers.Experience in guiding a team to implement therapeutic, recovery-oriented frameworks and practices including risk mitigation, trauma informed care and family inclusive practice.Proven ability to effectively lead and develop a team to achieve best quality service outcomes and provide professional supervision.Demonstrated understanding of the Community Services sector and capacity to build strong relationships with service providers, clinical teams and key stakeholders.Salary packaging up to $15,900 p.a. allows you to allocate a portion of your pre-tax income to cover living expenses (e.g. rent, mortgage, child care, car leasing expenses etc.).Generous leave entitlements including 8 weeks paid parental leave, 17.5% annual leave loading, and Monthly Accumulated Day off (Full time employees).Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), provided by Converge International,for you and your immediate family members.Professional development through regular supervision sessions.Interested?To obtain a position description and apply online visit Mind Careers - reference number 497629.
