Wind Turbine Technician - Component Exchange Positions Available: 4 (1 x Electrical, 3 x Mechanical Technicians) About the Company: This company is one of the world''s leading suppliers of utility-scale wind turbine generators. They are renowned for delivering, operating, and maintaining high-quality, cost-effective wind farms globally, with offices on every continent. They are currently experiencing significant worldwide growth. About the Role: You will be an integral part of our component exchange team, ensuring work is performed safely, to a high standard, and with minimal downtime on a major wind farm located an hour west of Ballarat. Duties: Transport tools, equipment, and frame to the hardstand. Lift crane components to the nacelle. Assemble auxiliary crane on wind turbine roof to support frame lift. Disconnect existing cooler and frame, then lower to ground. Assemble new frame and lift to nacelle roof. Install and commission cooler and frame. Disassemble auxiliary crane and lower. Transport to the next turbine. Skills and Experience (Essential): Trade experience in Electrical or Mechanical fields. Current driving license. Previous wind farm experience. Located within a 1 hour 15-minute drive of the site (Ballarat, Stawell, Ararat, Horsham, Avoca). Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards. Physically fit and capable of climbing towers. Required Tickets: GWO - BST and BTT (Essential) GWO - ART (Preferred) Forklift (Essential for 2 roles) Rigging (Essential for 2 roles) Dogman (Essential for 2 roles) Avanti Lift user (Preferred) Benefits: Competitive hourly rate and paid overtime.
