Focus Network is a leading provider of high level business summits within health, safety, IT and the cybersecurity sectors that brings together industry leaders and innovators and connects them with leading solution and supplier companies to enhance and support their overall business success.Now in our 13th year of operations, Focus Network hosts events across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United States, while complementing each of our events with localised research and insights that have been created from our in house analysts that support business leaders in validating any future purchasing decisions.Role OverviewAs the Event Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for all of our event delegation and speakers across every major event we host, ensuring seamless communication, coordination, and delivery of commitments.You will be responsible for overseeing this element of our events which includes phoning and speaking to each attendee prior to our events, ensuring communication EDMs/ materials are being created and sent for regular updates, overseeing deliverables, supporting the wider event team and being the main POC in charge of both delegates and speakers at each of our events.We are offering a full time position for an enthusiastic individual who is dedicated to curating captivating and memorable event experiences for our customers, where you will have a strong passion for creativity, customer experience and innovation, as well as exceptional time management and communication skills.You will attend all of our major conferences throughout the year, working closely and reporting directly to our Event and Operations Director to ensure all deliverables are executed correctly and on time.Beyond our major events, you will also be allocated a handful of events that are produced exclusively for our members each year to oversee and execute in full, which could include webinars, breakfasts and one day forums As the primary point of contact for our clients, you will oversee every detail of these gatherings, attending each one to ensure they are delivered seamlessly and to the highest standard.Key ResponsibilitiesDelegate/ Speaker Management & CommunicationAct as the primary liaison for all event delegates, speakers, managing relationships from initial registration through to post-event follow-up.Ensure all delegate deliverables are met, including branding, hotel rooms, digital materials, speaking opportunities, and on site activations.Follow up and work to strict deadlines to ensure all speaker content is received from presentersEnsure speaker program is updated internally and online weeklyProvide regular updates to delegates and speakers ensuring clear and timely communication regarding event logistics, deadlines, and expectations.Updating delegate contact details internally to ensure all data is correctAddress and resolve any delegate concerns or challenges efficiently.Event Preparation & ExecutionCoordinate all delegate and speaker materials, including signage, digital assets, promotional content, and branded collateral.Work closely with the Event Director to integrate delegate and speaker commitments into the broader event plan.Manage event attendance for each event and provide weekly updates to teamOversee delegate and speaker activations on site at events, ensuring smooth setup, execution, and engagement opportunities.Attend all major events, providing hands on support to delegates and speakers, ensuring their experience is seamless.Conduct post event debriefs with sales, marketing, events and operations to strengthen our eventsInternal Collaboration & ReportingLiaise with marketing, operations, and production teams to ensure all delegate/ speaker requirements are executed effectively.Maintain detailed records of delegation and speaker registrations, deliverables, and post event reports.Provide regular updates to the entire team on each event weeklyAssist in developing strategies to enhance delegate engagement and retention for future events.Required Skills & ExperienceMinimum 3 years of experience in event client management or event managementCompetency with EventsAir our event management softwareProven ability to manage multiple event attendees/ speakers simultaneously, ensuring a high level of service and execution.Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication, with a bubbly personalityHands on experience in managing event logistics and other activations.Willingness to travel regularly and attend all major events.Benefits of Working With UsWe offer clear career progression and leadership opportunities for all staffBe part of our leadership pathways program$1,000 Self development and training budget for you to use on yourself throughout the year.Full training and development provided by Event Director both one on one and in a group environmentAmazing close knit and collaborative teamEarly mark Friday -
