Join to apply for the Teaching and Curriculum Lead role at University of Sydney2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Teaching and Curriculum Lead role at University of SydneyFull time, fixed term until 31 December 2025Opportunity to lead curriculum delivery and student-focused academic services at the School of EconomicsHEO 7 Base Salary $108,557 - $118,216 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe Teaching and Curriculum Lead (T&C Lead) provides strategic leadership, operational support and expert advice to ensure effective delivery of education and curriculum services aligned with School of Economics and Faculty goals. This role will oversee a high-performing team, enhance the student experience, and manage complex academic logistics, including assessments and exam arrangements.Please note that this role will include weekend work to support various student assessments and recruitment campaigns for prospective students.Your key responsibilities will be to:oversee daily operations. general administrative services and continuous improvement within the Teaching and Curriculum Team (T&C Team), ensuring compliance, academic integrity and effective implementation of university policies and support serviceslead workforce planning, recruitment, training and resource management to ensure efficient staffing and support for exams and peak academic periodoversee resource deployment and casual academic staff in conjunction with the Deputy Head of School (Education)provide effective supervision of the T&C Team including performance management, and professional development support to staff, fostering collaboration, addressing concerns and promoting workplace safety to build a high-performing teamoversee curriculum governance, compliance, data accuracy and publication processeslead the delivery of school run in-semester tests, replacement and special arrangements for exams.About youdemonstrated experience in the supervising, mentoring, training and performance management of staff, and experience managing and reacting to a diverse range of HR issuesexperience in course design and evaluation across a range of delivery modesexcellent communication skills and knowledge of University systems for teaching administration.proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook) and student information systems.excellent planning and organisational skills, including experience in establishing and reviewing administrative processes with a strong customer-service focus.excellent time management skills, including demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload and that of others to meet multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment.well-developed interpersonal and teamwork skills, including a capacity to network widely and build effective relationships with colleagues and clients.demonstrated ability to interpret and implement policies and procedures.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
