We currently accept students from Years 7 to 12. The vision for Joseph Banks SC is to create a vibrant culture of excellence, innovation, opportunity and success for students, staff and the community. The focus of our work is on quality teaching and provision of the widest range of opportunities for individual achievement and learning success. You should provide students with a purposeful and engaging learning experience to develop their understanding and appreciation of English.You should have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and can establish and maintain a positive and engaging classroom-learning environment. The successful applicant will ideally display an ability to work as a collaborative team member and you should be committed to the development of strong professional learning communities focussed on student achievement and success.Strong knowledge and skills in the delivery of English Senior Secondary courses is highly desirable. The successful applicant will ideally provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. Applicants should have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and able to teach students of varying ability levels across Year 7 to 12 in a highly engaging manner.As such, the successful applicant will ideally possess a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students, having knowledge of and experience in, a range of instructional strategies and tactics.
