The Sutherland Hospital provides a range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.For role related queries or questions contact Mary Santos on Mary.Santos@health.nsw.gov.auWhat You''ll Be DoingSouth Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of Working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.Plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within Physiotherapy in order to provide high quality Physiotherapy care to Orthopaedic and Surgical patients of The Sutherland Hospital consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.This role includes responsibilities for supervision, quality improvement initiatives, education delivery to other health care professionals and the teaching of students on clinical placement.Selection CriteriaQualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia, and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.Extensive post graduate clinical experience in Orthopaedic and Surgical Physiotherapy.Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education and support to others in providing service excellence.Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.Demonstrated active participation in developing, implementing, and reporting on services.Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).Need more information?Click here for the Position Description and SESLHD Expected StandardsFind out more about applying for this positionOur CORE Values are Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment and have been created by employees for employees and help define how we work and to inspire positive interactions in the workplace.Reasonable AdjustmentsNSW Health recognises everyone is unique, and that you may require some adjustments to ensure you have the best opportunity to apply.
