Building Surveyor Career Graded OpportunityAre you ready to help shape the built environment of our unique and diverse region?Kyogle Council is seeking a motivated and technically capable Building Surveyor to join our Planning and Community Development team. This is a career-graded position, welcoming applications from professionals at various stages of their career from emerging talent with a trade qualification to experienced surveyors with accreditation.What Youll Be Doing:As a Building Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and sustainable development across the Kyogle Local Government Area. Working under the direction of the Principal Building Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:Assessing development applications in accordance with building legislation and codes.Conducting building, plumbing, drainage, on-site sewage, fire safety, and swimming pool inspections.Monitoring construction activities for compliance with approved plans.Investigating unauthorised building works and issuing notices as appropriate.Providing technical advice and preparing written correspondence and reports.Supporting a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and high performance within the team.This is a career-graded position (Grade 48).
