Your contributions will also extend to service development and key departmental responsibilities, ensuring excellence in care and innovation in practice.If you are a dedicated professional ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and supportive environment, we would love to hear from you.What You''ll Be DoingThe position is responsible for leading, guiding and managing the delivery of speech pathology services to the neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and paediatric feeding and dysphagia caseloads.As a specialist senior clinician the speech pathologist is responsible for overseeing and providing an efficient and effective service through the application of high level clinical expertise and knowledge in the management of paediatric patients optimizing the feeding/swallowing and communication outcomes.In the role as a clinical specialist, the speech pathologist is also responsible for providing district-wide consultative services within their area of clinical expertise. They will also contribute to senior departmental duties including clinical supervision, leading of quality improvement activities, participation in service development and other administrative responsibilities as required.Where You''ll Be WorkingLiverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application.Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which provides eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.Extensive post graduate experience working in NICU and paediatric feeding and dysphagia caseloads demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills in assessment and management. This includes a developmental care focus.Demonstrated experience and competence in conducting, analysing and reporting on Videofluroscopic Swallow Study.Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.Demonstrated experience in providing consultation and education to colleagues and external parties that adheres to EBP principles.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective internal and external partnerships.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a teamApplicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver''s license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
